TYLER PERRY STUDIOS

FORT MCPHERSON & BRIARWOOD, ATLANTA, GA

STUDIO DESIGN, ENVIRONMENTAL NOISE CONTROL, MECHANICAL ISOLATION

BWS has been a trusted on-call acoustic consultant to Tyler Perry and Terragroup for more than a decade, delivering high-performance noise control and interior acoustic solutions across some of their most demanding projects. Our work includes the final sound stage (Studio P-2) at the Greenbriar facility, along with twelve new sound stages and multiple support structures at the expansive 330-acre Fort McPherson studio. Stage sizes range from efficient 100’ x 100’ footprints to a flagship 154’ x 252’ facility rising nearly 50 feet, each designed to meet rigorous acoustic standards.

A defining challenge of TPS projects is the pace. Design frequently advances in parallel with active construction, requiring responsive problem-solving and seamless coordination across disciplines. BWS thrives in this environment, providing clear, buildable solutions without slowing project momentum.

Our team consistently delivers cost-conscious, high-impact designs that align with both budget and performance goals. Beyond studio work, BWS has also supported Terragroup with acoustic consulting at Tyler’s private residence in Douglasville, including a large aircraft barn and the main home—bringing the same level of precision and care to every environment.
